Four Racing Simulators for a Capital Group Employee Social

Four racing simulators for a Capital Group employee social turned the company's West Los Angeles office into one shared race. We ran it inside a working building.

What Capital Group asked for

An office social works best when people play together instead of waiting in one long line. Capital Group came to us with that goal.

The company planned an employee social with a Hawaiian Luau theme for September 24, 2026. It wanted competitive entertainment with a leaderboard, and several colleagues had to be able to play at the same time.

The venue was the company's own office building. That meant building rules, a fixed floor and normal office power, with no event hall behind it.

Capital Group already knew us. The company has booked us for three events. If you're planning a similar thank-you for staff, our page on employee appreciation events shows other formats.

Four stations, one competition

You get a race where more people drive and fewer people stand in line. Here's what we brought:

  • Four racing cockpits. Each cockpit had its own TV, so four colleagues could race side by side.
  • Leaderboard screen. One separate screen showed the shared ranking for all four stations.
  • Two guides. Two of our team stayed with the drivers and walked each guest through the controls.
  • Full package. We handled delivery, installation, technical setup and breakdown as one job.

Working inside an office building

Capital Group didn't have to manage the building for us. We sorted the details with them before event day.

  1. Step 1: 9 AM

    • Building access started, five hours before the event.
  2. Step 2: First floor

    • We placed all four stations on the ground level of the office.
  3. Step 3: Standard outlets

    • The setup ran on the building's normal wall outlets.
  4. Step 4: Insurance

    • We met the building's insurance requirements ahead of time.
  5. Step 5: 2 PM

    • The social started with all stations ready.
    • We planned each run at about 90 seconds of driving.
    • With the briefing and the changeover between guests, each person needed about two and a half minutes at a station.

How the race played out

Colleagues who weren't driving still had a reason to watch, because the ranking stayed on screen for the whole social.

The activation ran as planned. After the event, we sent Capital Group the final leaderboard results. We didn't record a count of unique drivers.

Questions from office planners

Can you set up racing simulators inside our office?

Yes. Tell us the floor, the room and the elevator or loading access, and we'll check power and fit before we confirm the station count.

How many guests can race at once?

With four stations, four guests drive at the same time. Short timed runs keep the line moving.

Can you meet our building's insurance rules?

Yes. We send insurance documents to buildings, venues and organizers on request. Forward the building's requirements with your inquiry.

Have you worked with Capital Group before?

Yes. We also ran a two-cockpit racing simulator challenge on the 55th floor in Downtown LA for the same company, with prizes for the top ten drivers.

Are you based in Los Angeles?

Los Angeles is one of our two bases. The other is Orlando, with our office and warehouse, and we work across the U.S. Read more about our work as a corporate event planner in Los Angeles.
