Corporate Event Planner in Los Angeles

Work with a corporate event planner in Los Angeles who keeps the racing, flight, surf and photo stations in town and knows how a Downtown tower, a studio lot and the convention center each handle a load-in. Los Angeles is one of our two bases, and Orlando is the other.

Corporate event venues in Los Angeles

LA venues range from a 720,000 sq ft convention center to studio sound stages, and each has its own fire, power and access rules that shape your floor plan.

  • Los Angeles Convention Center

On Figueroa Street next to LA Live. South Hall covers nearly 350,000 sq ft, West Hall 210,685 sq ft and the lower-level Kentia Hall 160,000 sq ft. An expansion is under construction through early 2029, so we confirm your hall, dock and route with the event manager before move-in.

  • Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center

By the harbor in Long Beach. The Grand Ballroom covers 20,456 sq ft, and 34 meeting rooms surround it. Corporate meetings here pair well with a photo booth in the foyer between sessions.

  • Pasadena Convention Center

On Green Street, with a 50,000 sq ft exhibition building and the 2,997-seat Civic Auditorium, which hosted the Emmys for two decades. It suits awards nights and regional conferences away from Downtown traffic.

  • Sony Pictures Studios, Culver City

The 45-acre lot has 16 sound stages and was MGM's home from 1924 to 1986. We set up in the Rainbow Room at the Scenic Arts Center for an industry launch: read about our AI networking matchmaker and racing simulator at TEC6.

  • Downtown office towers and plazas

An event can stay in your own building: a high floor or the plaza at the base of the tower. These need building access windows and insurance papers, and our cases below show how we handle both.

Los Angeles trade show calendar

    • LA Art Show.

LAFD rules, building access and COI

In Los Angeles, the fire department and building managers set the rules, and we plan around both before load-in day.

  • Fire department review. At the convention center, the Fire Inspector checks floor plans against LAFD codes, and some exhibits need a Fire Department Permit. LAFD also permits tents, vehicles indoors and open flames at events.
  • Tall or covered booths. A booth over 12 ft or steps over 30 inches need a wet-stamped engineering plan. Covered areas of 750 sq ft or more need sprinklers.
  • Exclusive services. Levy handles all food and beverage at the convention center, and Boldyn Networks supplies internet. Food sampling at a booth needs written permission.
  • Office towers. Each building sets its own access hours, freight elevator slots and insurance terms. We agree on all three with building management before load-in.
  • Certificate of insurance. We send insurance documents to your venue, building or organizer on request, with the names they ask for.

Where LA companies hold events

  • Downtown. Office towers on Bunker Hill and South Hope Street, LA Live and the convention center.
  • Culver City. Sony Pictures Studios and the media companies around it, with sound stages that double as event halls.
  • Playa Vista. Google, Electronic Arts and YouTube offices on the former Hughes Aircraft site. We delivered a surf simulator we carried upstairs for Alpha School to a second-floor room reached only by stairs.
  • Santa Monica. Snap's headquarters and the rest of Silicon Beach, with rooftop and beach-side venues.
  • El Segundo. Aerospace companies next to LAX, with campuses that host family days.
  • Pasadena. The convention center, Civic Auditorium and school campuses.
  • Long Beach. The convention center, the harbor and the port companies.
  • West LA. Office campuses where we ran a four-station racing social.

Business events in Los Angeles spread across a metro of separate business centers, and the venue that's near your team saves an hour of traffic for every guest.

Questions about corporate events in Los Angeles

How much does a corporate event planner in Los Angeles cost?

We don't publish a price list. Each LA event gets a custom quote shaped by the venue, tower access hours or LACC show orders, station count, event hours, branding and staff. Read how we quote.

Do we need an LAFD permit for our booth or event?

At the convention center, the Fire Inspector reviews your floor plan, and some exhibits need a Fire Department Permit. Outside the convention center, LAFD permits tents, vehicles at indoor events and open flames. We tell you early if our stations need anything on the permit.

Can you get stations up to a high floor in a Downtown tower?

Yes. We book the freight elevator and the access window with building management, and we check each station against the elevator car and the route to the room.

Will weather affect an outdoor event in Los Angeles?

Rain is rare from May through October; 92% of it falls from November to April. May and June mornings can be gray near the coast, and Santa Ana winds blow from late fall into spring. We weigh down shade tents and keep screens out of direct sun.

How fast can you book an event in LA?

Fast, when the date is open. EF Academy booked our surf simulator for a luau party in Pasadena two days before the event, and we delivered on time.

Can you send a COI to a Downtown building or a studio lot?

Yes. We send insurance documents on request, naming the building owner, management company or studio as they ask. On the Sony lot in Culver City, we also arranged staff access to the studio ahead of the event.

Do you plan a corporate holiday party or retreat in Los Angeles?

Yes. For a corporate holiday party in Los Angeles, we add stations to your Downtown office floor, a Long Beach or Pasadena ballroom, or a studio space in Culver City. December falls in LA's rainy season, so plan the party indoors. For a corporate retreat near Los Angeles, we drive the stations and AV to your resort and run them.
