Five Interactive Stations and AV for Capital Group's Summer Social

We brought five interactive stations and AV to Capital Group's I Love LA summer social on an outdoor plaza in Downtown Los Angeles. Beach culture, local sports and branded photos shared one afternoon.

What Capital Group wanted

One attraction keeps a crowd busy for a while. Several activities around one theme give every guest something to do. Capital Group asked for the second option.

The company planned an employee summer social for July 15, 2026, on the outdoor plaza at 333 S. Hope Street in Downtown Los Angeles. The theme was I Love LA. The brief tied together beach culture, local sports and branded photos, with music and announcements for the whole program.

Capital Group is a returning client, and for this social it booked five stations and the sound. If you're planning an outdoor staff day like this, our company picnic page shows more formats.

What we brought to the plaza

You get one vendor for the activities and the sound, so nobody has to sync two crews. The approved package for Capital Group:

  • Two surf simulators. Each board had its own TV, so two guests could ride at once.
  • VR Baseball and VR Hockey. Two VR sports stations for the local sports part of the theme.
  • Digital leaderboard. One ranking screen with Capital Group branding.
  • AI photo booth with printing. Themed image options built with Capital Group brand assets, and a print for each guest.
  • Sound. Four QSC speakers, a wireless microphone, a mixer, a DJ table and all the cables.
  • Staff. Four activity operators at the stations and one AV technician on the sound.

Preparing an outdoor plaza

On an open plaza, shade, power and internet all have to be brought in. We planned each of them before event day.

Shade tents. We brought tents to shade the stations from the July sun.

Power distribution. We brought distribution and extra cabling to feed the simulators, the VR stations, the booth and the sound.

Internet. The AI photo booth needed a connection, so we arranged one for it.

9:30 AM. Our team arrived to set up.

2 PM to 5 PM. The program ran for three hours.

How the afternoon was built to work

Every guest on the plaza had at least one way to join in. They could surf, play a VR sport or make a themed photo to take home. One sound setup carried the music and the announcements across the plaza.

Questions about multi-station socials

Can you run several activities and the sound at the same event?

Yes. For Capital Group we ran five stations and the sound as one package, with one crew on site.

Can you set up simulators for an outdoor corporate summer event?

Yes. We bring shade and power for an outdoor site. Tell us what the venue already has, and we'll plan the rest.

Can the photo booth and the leaderboard use our branding?

Yes. Capital Group sent its brand assets, and we used them in the photo booth images and on the leaderboard.

Has Capital Group booked you before?

Yes, this was one of three events for the company. We also ran a racing simulator challenge on the 55th floor in Downtown LA and four racing simulators for an employee social in West LA.

Do you only work in Los Angeles?

No. Los Angeles is one of our two bases, and Orlando is the other. We bring the stations and the sound anywhere in the U.S.
