Team Building Activities in Dallas, Texas
Dallas team building ideas for a headquarters floor: a racing or flight simulator contest with a live leaderboard that pulls in every department. Our hosts run it in your Las Colinas, Legacy West or Frisco office.

Dallas team building ideas for headquarters teams
DFW is a metro of headquarters, and a headquarters team day has to work for hundreds of people from several departments at once.
A department league for a headquarters floor. Four racing stations feed one shared leaderboard, so finance, sales and IT race each other in one afternoon. Each driver gets about 90 seconds on track and the full turn takes about two and a half minutes, so a big floor rotates fast. We ran this format for Capital Group, a client that has booked us three times.
A flight challenge for airline and aviation teams. American Airlines and Southwest Airlines are both based here. Two flight simulators with a landing challenge and a low-altitude run give an operations team something it can argue about at lunch for a week.
A podium for a sales kickoff. Ten prize places, not one, keep people racing after the leader pulls away. Capital Group gave a helmet to first place and trophies to the next nine.
Escape rooms, virtual sessions and more are on our corporate team building events page.

Where DFW teams hold team building
DFW headquarters split by suburb, so start with where your people work. Here are corporate event venues in Dallas and its suburbs, by area.
Las Colinas, Irving
More than 2,000 companies and 25 million sq ft of offices around Lake Carolyn and the Mandalay Canal. Caterpillar, Fluor, Kimberly-Clark and Celanese run global headquarters here. Toyota Music Factory, open since 2017, works for an after-work final.
Legacy West, Plano
Toyota's North American operations, a JPMorgan Chase regional headquarters, Liberty Mutual and Boeing Global Services all sit around this 2017 district. The 303-room Renaissance hotel on site suits a two-day team summit.
Frisco
The Dallas Cowboys' 91-acre Star campus includes the 12,000-seat Ford Center, and T-Mobile USA and Keurig Dr Pepper have big offices nearby. The PGA of America headquarters shares a site with the Omni PGA Frisco Resort, which has room for an offsite.
Klyde Warren Park, Uptown
A 5.4-acre deck park built over the Woodall Rodgers Freeway, between the Arts District and Uptown. It hosts about 1,300 events and programs a year, keeps game areas on the lawn and stays open 6 AM to 11 PM. A private foundation runs it, so event requests go to the foundation.

Hotel ballrooms, the convention center and the rest of the list are on our corporate events in Dallas page.
What your Dallas team day includes
One booking covers the stations, the people and the paperwork. No one on your team needs gaming skills to join.
- Stations sized to your floor. Two cockpits for a training room, four for an open floor, flight simulators for an aviation crowd.
- Hosts for every round. They explain the controls, bring in the quiet ones and run the finals.
- Scoreboard and prizes. Company colors on the screens and the prize places you choose.
- Venue papers. Insurance documents for your building or venue on request.
- One crew, any U.S. city. We have two bases, an office and warehouse in Orlando and a base in Los Angeles, and we work across the U.S. The stations and hosts travel together.

What shapes a team building quote in Dallas
You'll see the full cost before you commit. Every event gets a custom quote, and in DFW it moves with:
- The number of stations, hosts and hours.
- Your venue: an office in Irving or Plano, a resort in Frisco or a park in Dallas.
- A generator and a tent for an outdoor pavilion.
- Travel and your date.
- Branding, prizes and extra screens.
How a Dallas team day comes together
You'll know who owns each step.

Dallas rules and weather for team events
- Office events over 50 people. If your building isn't approved for assembly use, Dallas Fire-Rescue wants a Temporary Assembly Permit for more than 50 people, filed 45 days ahead.
- City parks. Dallas Park and Recreation takes special event applications at least 90 days before the date and denies later ones. A site meeting may be required.
- Pavilions. Picnic pavilion reservations have a four-hour minimum, and the pavilions have no electrical outlets, so we plan a power source for the stations before you book.
- Spring storms. Hail and storms run from March to June and peak in April and May. Book a covered space for a spring date.
- Summer heat. The August high averages about 97°F, so summer team days go indoors or start after sunset.
A team day in Dallas can stall on a permit or a spring storm. These are the ones we plan around.
Questions about team building in Dallas
Can you run team building in our office in Irving or Plano?
Yes. Send the floor and the room size. Irving and Plano are separate cities with their own fire departments, so the Dallas assembly permit may not apply. We ask your building which rule it follows.
Do we need a permit for a team event in a Dallas park?
For a special event, yes, and the city wants the application at least 90 days ahead. A smaller team can reserve a picnic pavilion instead.
What's the best season for outdoor team building in Dallas?
Fall and early winter. Spring brings hail, peaking in April and May, and August averages about 97°F.
Can you come to our corporate retreat near Dallas?
Yes. The Gaylord Texan in Grapevine and the Omni PGA Frisco Resort both host DFW retreats. Send the venue, and the stations and hosts come to your program.
Can we add a photo booth to the holiday party?
Yes. For a party at the Renaissance at Legacy West or the Toyota Music Factory in Las Colinas, the booth fits next to the stations. See photo booth rental in Dallas for the formats.
Which weeks are hardest to book for corporate events in Dallas?
Market weeks and the State Fair. Total Home & Gift Market fills Dallas Market Center on January 6 to 12 and June 23 to 29, 2027. The State Fair of Texas runs at Fair Park from the last Friday of September for 24 days. Plan a team day near downtown outside those dates.
