Plan corporate events in Salt Lake City around ski season and Salt Palace show weeks. We book the room and bring photo booths and simulators to downtown hotel ballrooms and tech campuses in Lehi.

Downtown Salt Lake puts its convention center, its biggest hotels and its arena within walking distance of Temple Square. Planning at the Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy or a lodge in Park City? Send us the venue and we'll check doors, power and winter access for our truck.
Salt Palace Convention Center
It has 515,000 sq ft of contiguous exhibit space that divides into 9 halls, plus a 45,000 sq ft Grand Ballroom. Trucks use 40 loading docks, and guests park in 1,000 underground stalls. The building spans several blocks, so we plan the walk from the dock to your hall.
Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City
The convention center hotel opened in October 2022 with 700 rooms and 60,000 sq ft of meeting space. A conference can hold its dinner and after-party without leaving the complex.
Grand America Hotel
Open since 2001 on South Main Street, it has 775 rooms and 75,000 sq ft of meeting space. Its ballrooms suit galas and awards nights.
Delta Center
Home of the Utah Jazz since 1991 and the NHL's Utah Mammoth since 2024, it seats 18,186 for basketball. Suites and clubs here suit a client night on a game evening.
The Gateway
Built around the historic Union Pacific Depot, it includes the Olympic Legacy Plaza and restaurant spaces for team parties.
Salt Lake's year runs around ski season, a few big conventions and a state holiday in July.
Utah's rules for events are simple on private property and strict on alcohol, and winter adds its own planning.
City event permits
Salt Lake City issues special event permits only for public property such as parks, streets, sidewalks and plazas. A hotel, a campus or a private venue doesn't need one from the city. When you do need a permit, apply at least 30 days ahead and no earlier than 364 days. The application fee is $151.
Alcohol
Even at a private venue, serving alcohol at an event takes a state DABS permit and local consent from the city's business licensing office. That application goes in at least 18 business days before the event. A hotel with its own liquor license usually covers this through its catering.
Labor
Utah has been a right-to-work state since 1955. Show labor rules at the Salt Palace come from the general contractor's exhibitor kit, and we read it before we book trucks.
Altitude and air
The city sits at 4,327 ft. Winter inversions trap fog and haze in the valley, so winter outdoor programs move to the mountains or indoors.
Summer heat
Summer afternoons often top 100°F. We plan outdoor stations for the evening and keep them in shade.
The Wasatch Front stretches about 120 miles, so the area you pick changes the drive for guests and for our truck.
Each of the region's big employers plans a different kind of event, and we match the format to the crowd. As your corporate event planner in Salt Lake City, we book the venue, plan the program and run every station on the day.

Yes. A hotel or venue with its own liquor license handles it through catering. Elsewhere, you need the state DABS permit and the city's local consent described in the rules above.
It can. From November on, we watch the forecast for the roads into the valley and the I-80 climb to Park City, and we build a weather buffer into the delivery plan. Venues with covered docks make winter load-in easier.
Late spring and early fall work best, for the heat and haze reasons in the rules above. For a winter program outside, look at the Park City resorts above the valley.
