AI and 360 photo booth rental in San Diego
San Diego's biggest crowds come for a few big weeks, and a booth gives your brand a picture people share while the city is full of your buyers and fans.
- Mid-July. The Esri User Conference runs July 12 to 16, 2027, and exhibitors host client dinners along the Marina.
- Late July. Comic-Con follows on July 22 to 25, with Preview Night on July 21. Studio and brand parties fill the Gaslamp every night.
- January. The PGA Tour's The Sentry at Torrey Pines, January 27 to 30, 2027, brings client hospitality to the mesa.
- March. The Padres open their 2027 season at Petco Park on March 25, and suite nights run through the summer.
The local employers set their own pace. Life science companies employed 71,448 people here in 2024, and lab openings and milestone parties near Torrey Pines want a calm AI portrait booth. Qualcomm and the Navy's contractors host family days, where a 360 booth keeps kids and parents busy in line.
Both formats are on our page for photo booth rental for corporate events.
San Diego venues for a photo booth
Most of San Diego's large rooms sit along the bay, so we plan the booth around the dock, the deck or the sand.
San Diego Convention Center
It has 615,701 sq ft of exhibit space. The Sails Pavilion upstairs adds 90,000 sq ft without columns under glass walls, and its daylight makes good portraits during a reception.
Hilton San Diego Bayfront
Its 1,190 rooms sit next to the convention center, so an after-show party there keeps your guests on foot.
Manchester Grand Hyatt
The 34,000 sq ft Grand Hall seats galas of up to 3,000. A booth in the foyer catches guests on the way in.
USS Midway Museum
The flight deck takes receptions of up to 2,500 guests with the bay on both sides.
Hotel del Coronado
North Beach gives 70,000 sq ft of sand. A 360 booth there needs a flat platform and a wind check, and we bring both into the plan.

What a San Diego booking includes
You book the booth and the person who runs it as one job. We have two bases, Los Angeles and Orlando, with our Orlando office and warehouse at 310 N Orange Ave, and we work across the U.S.
- Delivery and setup. We bring the booth, set it up and test it before guests arrive.
- Light for any weather. The mirror booth brings its own studio lights, so a gray June morning on the bay still gives bright portraits.
- One operator all event. On a convention week, the same person runs the booth every day.
- Your brand on every image. Logo frames and AI looks in your style, including fan themes for a Comic-Con party.
- Prints, phone copies and sign-ups. Guests keep a print, get the file on their phone and leave their contact if you want it.
- Extra stations. Add a racing simulator, VR, or AV rental in San Diego for the stage's screens and sound, and the same crew runs them.

How a San Diego booking runs
San Diego paperwork starts early, especially in July, so we start with the venue rules and then plan the booth.
Union labor, fire code and COI in San Diego
The convention center publishes detailed labor and fire rules, so we confirm them with your show contractor before the event.
- Union jurisdiction. The convention center works with painters and allied trades, IATSE stagehands, IBEW electricians and Teamsters for move-in and installation.
- Minimum call. Show labor at the convention center bills at least 4 hours per worker per day, so we plan setup to fit one call.
- Backdrops. Every display material must be flame retardant under the California fire code. We confirm the backdrop and print materials before printing.
- COI. A convention center license names three additional insureds: the San Diego Convention Center Corporation, the City of San Diego and the San Diego Unified Port District. We send our insurance documents on request.
- Outdoor events. A special event on city property needs a permit at least 60 days ahead, and the city recommends 120. A tent over 400 sq ft needs a Fire-Rescue permit at least 2 weeks before.
Questions about photo booths in San Diego
Can our own staff set up the booth at the convention center?
A full-time employee of the exhibitor may set up a display that takes 1 hour or less without tools, and hand-carry what one person can manage in one trip. A photo booth with lights and a backdrop usually goes through show labor, and we coordinate the call with your show contractor.
Does the Port District go on our COI?
At the convention center, yes: it's one of three additional insureds. Other waterfront venues also sit on port land, so ask your venue whether the Port District goes on your certificate.
Will a June event on the bay be too gray for photos?
The coast's May gray and June gloom keep mornings overcast. The mirror booth brings its own studio lights, and for a 360 booth on an open deck we plan the spot and the start time around the light.
Can you run a booth on the USS Midway?
Yes. Evening events there run from 6 to 10 PM, so we set up before the museum closes to visitors and test before the first guest steps on deck.
What is the best photo booth to rent for a San Diego event?
It depends on the crowd. For a lab opening near Torrey Pines or a gray June morning on the bay, the AI mirror with its own studio lights gives calm, bright portraits. For a Comic-Con party or a family day, the 360 booth gives guests a clip to share.
How much does it cost to rent a photo booth in San Diego?
We quote each event on its own, with no package price. The format, the hours, convention center labor and any outdoor platform set the total. Send the date and the venue, and the quote comes back within minutes.
Can a 360 booth work at a Comic-Con party?
Yes. Comic-Con runs July 22 to 25, 2027, and party venues in the Gaslamp book early. Send your venue as soon as you have it, and we'll plan the spot and the clip length with you.
What events have you run?
We ran two flight simulators for an aerospace open house, and our AI photo booth printed branded portraits at the Capital Group summer social for the company's employees.
