Flight Simulator for Sysmex at Hangar 21, Fullerton

Our flight simulator for Sysmex at Hangar 21, Fullerton, put guests who had never flown in the pilot's seat at a customer evening during the ADLM conference. The event agency Total Brand Experience (TBX) booked the station.

What TBX needed

A themed evening needs an activity that fits the room and still feels easy to a guest who has never tried it. That was the brief here.

TBX organized Take Flight with Sysmex, a customer appreciation evening for Sysmex America on July 28, 2026. Sysmex invited its customers and employees during the ADLM conference. The venue was Hangar 21 in Fullerton, with aviation styling throughout.

The agency wanted an interactive activity that matched that setting and welcomed guests with no flying experience. It weighed two simulators and chose one staffed station. The flight station was one part of a larger themed reception, a corporate hospitality event where a company thanks its customers.

What we brought

You book one station and get everything it needs to run on the night. For TBX, we supplied the equipment and handled every step from load-in to pack-up:

  • Station. Cockpit seat with a yoke and throttle, a display, the computer and the flight software.
  • Delivery and install. We brought the station to Hangar 21 and set it up on the venue's terrace.
  • Testing. We ran test flights before any guest sat down.
  • Operator. One operator stayed at the station all evening and helped each guest at the controls.
  • Teardown. We packed everything up after the last flight.
  • TBX supplied the pilot accessories, and our operator wore them with a suit. Guests saw a captain standing at the station, so the activity looked like part of the evening's aviation theme.

Schedule and venue access

TBX knew where the station would be at every hour of event day, and the venue had our paperwork before we arrived.

  1. Step 1: 1:30 PM

    • We arrived with the station.
    • Load-in on the airfield side of the venue needed approval. We coordinated that access and our insurance documents with TBX and Hangar 21 ahead of event day.
  2. Step 2: 4:30 PM

    • The station was set up, tested and ready.
  3. Step 3: 6:00 PM

    • Guests arrived and the first flights began.
    • A standard session on our flight simulator runs 3 to 5 minutes.
    • On the night, our operator set the length by the queue and by how much each guest wanted to fly.
  4. Step 4: 10:00 PM

    • The event ended and we packed up.

How the evening went

First-timers flew a plane on the night, and their colleagues crowded around the seat to cheer.

Each guest sat in the cockpit seat and tried the controls with our operator beside them. We didn't run a contest or a leaderboard that night. Everyone who wanted a turn got one.

After the event, TBX sent us written feedback. Its team and its client were both pleased with the product and with how professionally we worked.

We didn't count flights. TBX planned for about 275 guests at the reception, but that figure covers the whole evening, not the station.

Questions from planners

Can you work as a vendor for our agency?

Yes. At Hangar 21 we worked for TBX. The agency ran the client relationship and the theme, and we ran the station to its schedule. See how we support agencies on our interactive entertainment for event planners page.

Can you send insurance documents to the venue?

Yes. We send insurance documents to venues and organizers on request. Add the venue's requirements to your inquiry.

How much space and power does a flight simulator need?

We fit the setup to your venue and confirm space and power with you. We also check both with the venue before event day.

Do you bring the flight simulator outside California?

Yes. We have two bases, Los Angeles and Orlando, and work across the U.S. We arrange transport, setup and the operator together. We've already shipped a flight simulator from Los Angeles to a school near Raleigh.
