Plan corporate events in Charlotte with a team that brings its own racing cockpits to a city where most NASCAR teams are based, plus photo booths, VR and AV for Uptown banking clients. We have two bases, Los Angeles and Orlando, and work across the U.S.
Each Charlotte venue has its own way in for equipment. We plan the route and the power before we confirm.
01
Charlotte Convention Center
Uptown, with 280,000 sq ft of exhibit space in four halls and the 40,000 sq ft Crown Ballroom. A covered bridge from the 2021 expansion links it to The Westin and the Brooklyn Village light rail stop.
02
NASCAR Hall of Fame
Next to the convention center, at 400 East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Its Great Hall takes 650 guests for a reception or 450 seated, framed by Glory Road, a banked track lined with 18 historic race cars.
03
The Speedway Club
On the fifth and sixth floors of Smith Tower at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, with more than 13,000 sq ft of event space. The ballroom covers 6,200 sq ft and holds up to 450 guests, with a view of the track.
04
The Westin Charlotte
It has 700 rooms and connects to the convention center by the bridge, so exhibitors can walk to a hotel reception after the show closes.
05
Our work in North Carolina
In North Carolina we ran a flight simulator for a school event in Morrisville, near Raleigh. We brought the station in, tested it and ran it on venue Wi-Fi with our own hotspot as backup.
The busiest weeks are race weekends and big tournaments. We check your date against them before you sign a venue.

Convention center rules, permits and COI in Charlotte
You get a station that passes the venue's checks on the first try, because we read the rules before we pack.
Inside the convention center
The center's operator, the CRVA, is the only provider of electricity, water, compressed air and rigging in the building. Inside your booth, an exhibitor's own technician may connect equipment to the power you ordered, and advance orders are due 14 days before move-in. North Carolina is a right-to-work state, and our crew sets up its stations without a union call. Trucks use one dock entrance on East Brooklyn Village Avenue, unload and leave. The center doesn't lend carts or dollies, so we bring our own.
Events on Charlotte streets and plazas
A city permit for an event on a street or sidewalk is due at least 30 days ahead, and the city accepts applications up to 364 days out. If more than 50 guests gather at a public plaza, the organizer notifies the local CMPD officers.
Insurance
We send insurance documents to the CRVA, The Westin or The Speedway Club on request, with the additional insureds each venue lists.
Charlotte districts for team building outings
Pick the district that fits your guests and their drive from Uptown.
Uptown. The business district, home to the headquarters of Bank of America, Duke Energy and Honeywell, plus the convention center and the Hall of Fame.
South End. A former industrial area along the light rail, now full of breweries and rooftop bars for an after-work team night.
NoDa. A former mill village to the north, known for murals, live music and craft beer.
SouthPark. The upscale shopping and office district south of Uptown, close to many client dinners.
Ballantyne. A master-planned area on the south side of the city, about half an hour from Uptown by car.
Concord. Home of Charlotte Motor Speedway and The Speedway Club, northeast of the city.
Two industries shape many Charlotte events, and each likes a different format.
Banking and finance
Charlotte is the second-largest banking center in the country, after New York. Bank of America and Truist keep their headquarters here, and Wells Fargo runs its East Coast headquarters in the city. Their events lean toward client receptions and leadership summits, where an AI photo booth with branded portraits or AI networking for introductions gives guests a reason to mingle.
About 90% of NASCAR teams sit within 50 miles of Charlotte, and the region counts more than 700 motorsports companies. For sponsors, suppliers and race teams, a racing tournament with a live leaderboard speaks the language of the room.

Team building activities in Charlotte
For an Uptown bank team or a Ballantyne office, we build the program around racing heats, VR games and a shared leaderboard. Our operators run the rounds and keep score. Formats and group sizes are on our team building page.
Photo booth rental in Charlotte
The AI photo booth is a full-length 65-inch touch-screen mirror. Guests pick a branded look and get a portrait in seconds, printed on site or sent to their phone. A 360 booth records slow-motion clips for social posts. Compare both on our photo booth rental page.
Interactive rentals
Racing and flight simulators, VR stations, AI networking and AV rental with QSC speakers, each with an operator. See every station in our interactive event rentals.
Charlotte planners ask us
Can you set up a racing simulator at the NASCAR Hall of Fame or The Speedway Club?
Yes, with the venue's approval. We send its event team the cockpit size and power needs, then agree on the load-in route and timing. Race-themed rooms like Glory Road make a racing tournament feel at home.
Do we need union labor at the Charlotte Convention Center?
No. North Carolina is a right-to-work state and the center isn't a union building. Power and rigging still go through the CRVA, and we tell you what to order 14 days before move-in.
How do you get equipment in on the convention center dock?
Through the single dock entrance on East Brooklyn Village Avenue, at the time the event manager assigns. We unload, move the truck out and bring our own carts.
Is Coca-Cola 600 week a good time for a racing event?
Race weekends are popular for sponsor and client events, and hotels fill fast. Book as soon as you know your date, and we'll check it right away.
Can a Charlotte event run outdoors in summer?
Yes, with shade and a power plan. July highs here average about 90°F. On a plaza or street, file the city permit at least 30 days ahead.
Can you plan a full client summit in Uptown Charlotte, not just bring stations?
Yes. We book the rooms at the convention center or The Westin across the bridge, line up AV, and add AI networking so bankers from different firms meet. Our how we quote page explains what shapes the total.
