Corporate event venues in New Orleans, LA

Many New Orleans venues have a story guests remember. We match the stations to the room so they add to it.

  • Ernest N. Morial Convention Center

It runs more than half a mile along the Mississippi, with roughly 1.1 million sq ft of exhibit space in 11 halls and 140 meeting rooms. The Great Hall is a 60,300 sq ft ballroom without columns, and the Rivergate Room next to it opens onto a rooftop terrace.

  • Caesars Superdome

Home of the Sugar Bowl and host of eight Super Bowls, most recently in February 2025. A $450 million renovation rebuilt its concourses and suites before that game.

  • Mardi Gras World

The working studio where Blaine Kern's company builds parade floats, in a 300,000 sq ft riverfront building near the convention center. It hosts corporate events among the floats.

  • The National WWII Museum

Its US Freedom Pavilion holds a B-17 and other aircraft overhead. A flight simulator next to them is an easy theme for a client night, subject to the museum's approval.

  • Outdoor programs in the heat

For outdoor programs in the heat, see the outdoor summer social for Capital Group's employees, where we put up shade tents and ran our own power distribution for five stations.

Load-in, permits and COI in New Orleans

We plan the truck route and the paperwork, so your stations arrive on time even in parade season.

At the Morial Convention Center

Louisiana is a right-to-work state. The center has its own electricians, carpenters and plumbers, and an in-house production team for lighting, audio, video and rigging that also supports outside contractors. Your show's general contractor runs its own marshaling yard, so we follow the freight instructions in your exhibitor kit.

Street events and second lines

City event permits go through the One Stop App. A second line, parade or race needs its own permit filed at least 15 days before, plus a police escort. A for-profit event with three or more vendors posts a $10,000 performance bond.

Insurance

We send insurance documents to the Morial Convention Center, your hotel or show management on request. For a street event, we match the certificate to the city's permit.

New Orleans neighborhoods for group events

Each district sets a different mood and a different load-in.

  • Warehouse and Arts District. Renovated warehouses, galleries and museums between the convention center and the CBD.
  • Central Business District. The towers, the big hotels and the Superdome, a short walk from the convention center.
  • French Quarter. European-style architecture, Bourbon Street nightlife and antique shops on Royal Street.
  • Marigny and Frenchmen Street. Live music clubs on Frenchmen Street and creole cottages for a smaller team night.
  • Garden District and Uptown. Mansions along the St. Charles streetcar line and boutiques on Magazine Street.
  • Metairie. A residential suburb in Jefferson Parish, home to the Saints training facility.

Touring the Gulf Coast? We have two bases, Los Angeles and Orlando, and work across the U.S. We plan corporate events in Houston and corporate events in Atlanta too.

New Orleans industries and their events

Three industries shape many events in the city.

  • A guest drives a truck simulator at an energy company team day

    Energy

The region handles a large share of U.S. oil refining and petrochemical production, and it is an office base for onshore and offshore oil and gas. Entergy is the city's only Fortune 500 headquarters. For energy teams, we plan client receptions and team days, where a truck or racing simulator with a leaderboard fits the crowd.

    Rent a truck simulator

  • A racing cockpit with seat, wheel and pedals on a platform, ready for visitors

    Port and maritime

The Port of New Orleans is the sixth-largest cruise port in the U.S. and Louisiana's only international container port. At a show like the International Workboat Show, a racing or truck simulator gives visitors a reason to stop at an exhibitor's booth.

    Trade show entertainment

  • Guests around a racing simulator at an evening reception in a courtyard

    Tourism and conventions

Tourism and conventions bring in about $5.5 billion a year and 40% of city tax revenue. With 26,000 hotel rooms within 2.5 miles of downtown, the city hosts association meetings that want an evening program built for them.

What New Orleans planners ask

Can we hold a corporate event during Mardi Gras?

Yes, with a plan for the parade routes. Parades roll in the weeks before Mardi Gras day, February 9, 2027, and streets on the routes close while they pass. We set load-in times around the parade schedule, so book early.

What if a storm hits during hurricane season?

The season runs from June 1 to November 30, and it peaks from late August through September. For an event in those months, we agree on an indoor backup room with the venue and a decision time the day before.

Does the Morial Convention Center require union labor?

No. Louisiana is a right-to-work state. The center's in-house electricians connect power, and its production team handles rigging, so we tell you exactly what to order.

Can you run stations outdoors in New Orleans summer heat?

Yes, with shade and power planned. August is the warmest month, with average daily temperatures near 84°F. We bring tents and power distribution, as we did on an outdoor plaza for Capital Group.

Do we need a permit for a second line after our dinner?

Yes. File the parade permit at least 15 days ahead through the One Stop App, and the city adds a police escort.

Can you plan a full client night at Mardi Gras World or the WWII Museum?

Yes. We agree the plan with the venue, line up AV, and set the stations among the floats or under the aircraft. How we quote explains what shapes the total.
